first chapters
(a clockwork orange, brave new world, one flew over the cuckoo’s nest and 1984)
by stefanie posavec
“for the first chapter diagrams, i attempted to create a system that could easily represent differences in writing style between authors. i used the number of words per sentence to generate drawings of the first chapters of various modern classics: the more tightly wound the drawing means a shorter, choppier flow of sentences was used, while a larger drawing represents a writing style that utilises long, flowing sentences.”

according to mambo, “the narrow inside space, multiplied and complicated by mirrors, evoke a sensation of sublime terror, an alteration referring to a puzzling infinity itself created to destabilize conventional spatial habits.”

premiere of banksy’s exit through the gift shop
los angeles theatre
inside, voluptuous girls pouring out of flapper dresses, ski-masked service, some of banksy’s notable installations like tweety, free popcorn, and a faceless pianoman.
the last time banksy was here, you may remember brangelina showed up along with a painted elephant. this time, the celebrities cascaded down the red carpet once again, although flanked with the invited guests.. yes, the regular everyday public. it was as if the point was to make everyone feel and “appear” like a star , and as they were handed spray cans and asked to decorate the truck parked curbside, all sudden artists as well.
